The job:

As a Client Director, New Business Development, you will be responsible for generating revenue from new accounts, maintaining long-term key client relationships, performing product sales, and representing EQS Group in various capacities. You will make a significant contribution to company growth through the generation of substantial new revenue via new client acquisition and product sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish new client relationships with key strategic clients and generate new revenue within assigned territories
  • Meet monthly account goals
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of products and services, the industry, and competitive landscape
  • Utilize social media to network with prospects and represent EQS Group and its solutions
  • Manage new clients through all stages of the sales cycle – from mining data, prospecting, benefits and need analysis, proposal creation, contract negotiation, to closure
  • Travel up to 70%
  • Participate in professional development organizations (e.g.IR, PR and Compliance) and events on behalf of EQS Group and its services, sometimes outside of normal business hours
  • Work with multiple internal client service groups to ensure a seamless customer experience

Skills, Requirements and Competencies

  • 7-10 years of sales experience with a demonstrated track record of high achievement
  • Experience selling IR solutions to Fortune 500 companies and the C-Suite
  • Proven success in managing all stages of the sales cycle including prospecting, needs analysis, presentation, proposal, negotiation and closing
  • Ability to maintain high levels of sales activity, including 50+ client meetings per month
  • Thorough understanding of capital markets and investor relations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with clients across an organizational hierarchy, including executive level
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional time management skills, ability to multi-task with strict attention to detail
  • Strong planning and research skills, proficient CRM skills
  • Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing/sales
