Dr. Bernd Federmann, LL.M. is an attorney and partner at KPMG Law, Head of the Stuttgart office. At KPMG Law, he is responsible for the “Global Practice Group General-Compliance”, as well as for KPMG Solutions on Contract Compliance, Compliance Risk Assessment and Whistleblowing.

After his studies and legal clerkship with Prof. Dr. Möschel, Bernd Federmann completed his doctorate on the subject of “Criminal Penalties in Antitrust Law” and has been an attorney at KPMG Law since 2007. His main focus is on advising listed and medium-sized companies on commercial law in the areas of compliance, governance and organization. This includes the management of international compliance projects (risk analyses, audits, training and CMS organization set-up) including the coordination of the international KPMG network to provide one-stop services in all compliance areas (anti-corruption, antitrust law, product safety, data protection law, etc.).

Bernd Federmann is the author of various specialist publications on the subject of “Compliance”.

Dr. Konstantin von Busekist has been a lawyer since 2003 and has been working for KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH since 2007.

He specialises in compliance consulting for companies and corporate bodies. He has extensive experience in the issues of setting up, operating and improving compliance management systems as well as the related advice on liability avoidance. A further focus of his work is the management of large legal projects (PMO), the drafting of PMO structures in legal functions in companies and the structural consulting of legal departments.

He is responsible for the area of innovation, including the development and application of legal tech solutions.

Dr. Jan Liersch is a lawyer and CEO of Broermann Holding GmbH. Broermann Holding is the holding company of Asklepios founder Dr. Bernard große Broermann and, within this framework, is the sole shareholder of Asklepios Kliniken GmbH & Co. KGaA and of two hotels in Switzerland.

After his studies and legal clerkship, Jan Liersch first worked as a lawyer for Hengeler Mueller in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and London before joining the legal department of Klöckner & Co in Duisburg in 2007. There he became Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel before joining Asklepios Kliniken in 2016, where he held a similar position until 2019. Since then he has been CEO of Broermann Holding. Jan Liersch is a member of the Supervisory Board of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MEDICLIN AG, both of which belong to the Asklepios Group.
