Amongst “rule makers” there is growing recognition that you can’t/won’t achieve lasting cultural change solely through the imposition of more rules and regulation. During this breakout session the panel will discuss this topic addressing some of the challenges faced by firms on their cultural journey and share their views and some initiatives that may help to address some of these challenges.

Clive is a director of the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland the largest global association of compliance professionals.

Clives career has included roles as Chairperson, CEO, Independent director, Head of Compliance and Head of RIsk for large global insurers and reinsurers.

Clive is an adjunct lecturer, author & examiner at masters level and in senior executive education in Culture, Compliance, Risk management, Financial Markets and Governance working with University College Dublin, Association of Compliance Officer Ireland, Institute of Banking, Chartered Accountants Ireland, Central Bank of Ireland and Irish Department of Finance.

Clive has spoken extensively in Ireland and internationally on the topics of compliance, risk management and culture in financial services.

Marion was appointed as CEO of the Irish Banking Culture Board (IBCB) in March 2020, having previously been Acting CEO since April 2019. Marion initially joined the IBCB in August 2018 on secondment from Bank of Ireland (BOI) as Programme Director leading the establishment of the IBCB.

Marion joined BOI in 2006 and held a range of senior leadership roles across BOI in Regulatory Compliance, Operational Risk, Internal Audit and Recovery & Resolution planning.

Prior to joining BOI, Marion worked with PwC Dublin for 7 years within the FS Regulatory advisory practice, and prior to that spent 4 years working in Brussels with both the European Savings Banks Group and the European Commission.

Marion qualified as a Certified Bank Director with the Institute of Bankers (IoB) in 2018, she holds a Masters in European Economic and Public Affairs and a BA in Economics and German both from UCD.

Sandra Healy is Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at Dublin City University. Prior to joining DCU, Sandra career spanned 20 years in the technology industry. Sandra is founding Director of the DCU Centre of Excellence for Diversity and Inclusion (2018). The Centre was driven by a demand from industry to gain access to academic expertise and research on workplace inclusion and culture.

Sandra holds an Honours Degree in Psychology and a first class Master’s in Organisational Psychology from DCU. She is an NLP Master Practitioner and Sales Academy Coach, with expertise in delivering large-scale business transformation and cultural change. Sandra is also founder of inclusio; a dynamic new software that combines technology, behavioural science and psychology to transform organisational culture from the inside out, www.inclusio.io.

Over the past thirteen years Sandra has championed and driven Diversity and Inclusion practice in Irish Industry and is considered one of the country’s leading experts. She contributes to the work of the Ibec Diversity Forum, CWIT and 30% Club Ireland. Sandra provided critical diversity expertise and sectoral knowledge establishing the EU Diversity Charter Ireland and in 2014. Sandra is currently a member of the Expert Advisory Group for the Citizens Assembly on Gender Equality in Ireland (2020), led by Dr Catherine Day.

Sandra is in the Diverse in top three 20 Diversity Leaders to Watch in 2018; game changers for diversity and inclusion and was shortlisted for the European Diversity Awards, Head of Diversity of the Year 2019.
