Paul is the Deputy Group Company Secretary at Standard Life Aberdeen plc and has responsibility for the governance and compliance aspects of the plc, as well as shareholder services and the subsidiary structure below the plc (excluding the asset management business). The last three years have been particularly interes­ting as Paul has worked on three Class 1 transactions, comprising the sale of the Canadian businesses, the merger with Aberdeen Asset Management and the disposal of the majority of the UK Life and Pensions business to Phoenix.
