2020’s ESEF Reporting: We handle conversion, iXBRL tagging and submission.

Starting in 2020, all issuers will be required to submit their IFRS consolidated financial reports in the European Single Electronic Format (ESEF), to an official appointed mechanism that are responsible for storage of the filings in each country.

Thanks to our EQS ESEF service, you do not have to change anything to meet the new requirements.

Who is obliged to ESEF?

The European Security and Market Authority ESMA set the rules for the new European Single Electronic Format:

As of 2021, all issuers whose securities are traded on a regulated market within the EU are required to file their IFRS consolidated financial statement for the fiscal year as of January 1, 2021.

As ESEF is based on iXBRL no other format will be accepted by the authorities.

The ESEF service of EQS Group

The ESEF service of EQS Group eases the process of filing your financial statements:

  • You send us your annual report in Word or PDF
  • We will convert your document into the ESEF format and will file the converted document

No further adjustments are required.

Your benefits

  • No need for an expensive and complicated software

  • No need for additional IFRS and IT experts

  • No need for dealing with complex XBRL tagging

iXBRL – the Euorpean Single Electronic Format

ESEF is based on the so called inline eXtensible Business Reporting Language (iXBRL). The data standard displays the content of your financial report on web browsers and, at the same time, it is the best solution to identify, analyze and to use the tagged data in no time. At the end iXBRL should ease the work of investors, analysts and auditors with an appropriate analysis software.
