EQS Group expands its sustainability solution with integrated carbon management tools

New modules for product-level emissions and CO2 reduction planning support comprehensive sustainability management in one platform

EQS Group has expanded its all-in-one sustainability software, the EQS Sustainability COCKPIT, with two new modules designed to help companies manage their CO2 emissions, pinpoint major emission hotspots, and unlock reduction potential – and thereby meet upcoming climate-related disclosure obligations under the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). The new Product Carbon Footprint and CO2 Reduction Management modules support companies with both measuring and managing emissions. Building on the existing CO2-footprinting module, the new modules allow businesses to calculate product-level emissions and to plan, track, and report CO2 reduction measures – all on a single, audit-ready platform that also covers broader ESG and sustainability reporting workflows.

The Product Carbon Footprint module allows users to calculate the CO2 footprint of individual products based on globally recognized standards such as the GHG Protocol Product Standard and ISO 14067. The tool supports primary data collection from across the supply chain and delivers audit-ready results. Its AI-powered data recognition and intelligent emission factor assignment automate key steps of the calculation process, helping users reduce manual effort and ensure greater accuracy and consistency. This allows companies to increase transparency, compare product variants, and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.

In addition, the CO2 Reduction Management module enables organizations to align decarbonization initiatives with their corporate climate targets, such as those validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The module supports the planning and monitoring of measures at project level, including timelines, budgets, and emissions impact, offering a clear overview of progress toward reduction goals.
