EquityStory AG engages Stefan Ploghaus
Former managing director of AFX financial news agency to push further
internationalisation

Munich – 09 February 2007

EquityStory AG (ISIN: DE0005494165) will push the further
internationalisation of the company together with Stefan Ploghaus.
Previously, he was managing director with AFX News Ltd. London. Acting as
an external consultant, he will actively open up new distribution channels
and establish international cooperations.

Stefan Ploghaus has worked as a freelance consultant for companies from the
media and finances fields from the beginning of 2007. Having significantly
contributed to the sale of AFX News Ltd. by Agence France-Press (AFP) to
Thomson Financial and the subsequent company integration in 2006, Ploghaus
left the company at the end of the year in order to establish an own
business.

Stefan Ploghaus will work for EquityStory AG as an external business
development representative from today on. 'We are happy to have won Stefan
Ploghaus for our company. His experience of many years and his network of
contacts will now move EquityStory AG forward on an international basis
even faster. He is known in the industry as a proven expert with an
excellent reputation' says Achim Weick, CEO of EquityStory AG.

Following his vocational training for banker and his degree in business
administration from Gießen University, Stefan Ploghaus started his
professional career as a management assistant, project manager and later
product manager with Leica Camera AG at Solms in 1994.

In 1997, he moved to the Frankfurt-based dpa press agency as head of
marketing and sales of its dpa-Bilderdienste picture service. In 2000, he
became the managing director of dpa-AFX Wirtschaftsnachrichten GmbH, which
had been newly established, where he set up a profitable business segment
with his team within a very short period of time. Since then,
dpa-AFX has established itself as a leading financial news agency in the
German-speaking market.

In 2002, Stefan Ploghaus was appointed managing director of the British
parent company of dpa-AFX, the international financial news agency AFX News
Ltd., London. There he generated positive operating results with his
management team for the first time in 15 years. Furthermore, the global
network of the agency and the leading market position in Europe were
significantly extended.
